HAORAN HU
Founder and CEO
Haoran Hu is a seasoned real estate investor, developer, and entrepreneur. In 2020, after a successful institutional investment career, he pivoted to hands-on residential development, focusing on luxury single-family homes in New Jersey’s top school districts—particularly in Bergen County. Since then, he has consistently delivered strong returns for his investors through a highly focused, design-led strategy.
As the Founder and CEO of Alpine Capital, Haoran leads a vertically integrated real estate investment and development firm specializing in quick-turnaround, high-impact single-family projects. Alpine Capital combines sophisticated deal analysis with award-winning design principles to uncover hidden value and optimize every detail of a property.
Prior to launching Alpine Capital, Haoran served as Managing Director at a New York City-based private equity firm, where he helped acquire and manage over $1 billion in real estate assets across multiple asset classes.
Haoran holds a Master’s degree in Real Estate Development from Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Science with honors from Kansas State University.
JAY CHEN
Chief Investment Officer
Jay brings over a decade of comprehensive, hands-on experience across the full real estate investment lifecycle in the United States. His expertise spans acquisitions, financing, development, asset management, and successful exits, allowing him to add value at every stage of a project.

Throughout his career, Jay has led and participated in a diverse range of real estate asset types—including single-family residential homes, mixed-use developments, logistics centers, and iconic commercial office buildings. His track record reflects a deep understanding of both ground-up development and value-add repositioning strategies, with an ability to navigate complex deal structures and dynamic market conditions.

Jay’s unique strength lies in bridging detailed, on-the-ground execution with high-level strategic planning. He has worked across institutional and entrepreneurial platforms, bringing a sharp analytical mindset and a solutions-driven approach to every project.

He holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning and Real Estate Development from Columbia University.
SUZY SUN
CFO
Suzy Sun is the CFO of Alpine Capital, overseeing the firm’s real estate portfolio and acting as Asset Manager across all projects. She leads investment strategy, underwriting, financing, and revenue optimization.

Suzy launched her real estate career in 2017 after earning a Master’s in Real Estate Development and Finance from Columbia University. She has worked across high-end residential and hospitality projects—including the Virgin Hotel in NYC—with deep experience in acquisitions, deal structuring, and property management.

Inspired by her father, a self-made real estate entrepreneur, Suzy has spent the past decade investing in the New York and New Jersey markets. She owns and manages a portfolio of properties and has completed hundreds of transactions, known for her sharp analysis and attention to detail.

Based in Bergen County, Suzy brings a disciplined, investor-focused approach to every deal and remains closely connected to the community.
LUCAS TAN
Project Manager
Lucas Tan is a project manager specializing in managing real estate developments from concept to completion. He leads the full design–build process for multifamily, mixed-use, and capital improvement projects, ensuring they meet design, budget, and schedule objectives.

In prior roles, Lucas has managed over 1 million square feet of high-rise residential projects and collaborated with multiple world-renowned, award-winning architects. He has successfully delivered more than 20 ground-up developments and large renovation projects across major U.S. cities.

With a background in both architecture and development, Lucas blends design expertise with strong project management skills.
He holds a Master’s in Real Estate Development from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Architecture from Pratt Institute.
